Work continues on the Mains & Strathmartine Project on a daily basis. Our return visits to the former Disused Hospital site has provided some fantastic EVP and further validations from our initial investigations. Reports to follow.

Our next investigation takes place on 10th June 2008 at a former Church and listed building in Dundee.

About Us

Founded in April 2007 and taking a unique approach to the field Donna and Karen came together to form Paranormal Research Scotland which is a combination of the former Dundee Paranormal Investigations and Discover Dundee, a long term local historical and archaeological research project. As paranormal investigators, we have worked alongside each other since April 2006, bringing individual qualities and exciting experimental ideas into the investigative and research process.

As the above might suggest we are primarily based in Dundee, Scotland although our major research projects (2006 – current) have seen the team concentrating on the ancient and intriguing lands of Angus, originally a “one off” visit, the Baldovan project spiralled from one location to a large hospital site (former Baldovan Institution/Strathmartine Hospital) to a village and now the entire Parish, covering twelve square miles in total.

Lands and buildings within the Parish of Mains & Strathmartine were once owned by the likes of Sir William Wallace, Sir John Ogilvy and “Bonnie Dundee”, this research project will provide you with a historical overview of the lands and locations from antiquity to present; incorporating investigations and experiments at ancient monument sites, Pictish stone sites, pre-historic settlement sites as well as return to the former “Baldovan Mansion” site and estate Farmhouse throughout the years to come.

PRS is a non profit organisation, all of our overheads, equipment and travel is paid for by the team. We do not charge to carry out investigations or research projects, in fact all of our services are free of charge.

We offer a range of investigation packages to suit both individuals and the location. Experiments are tailor made to suit each location and historical background in order to maximise potential results. Divination/direct communication is only carried out after the agreement of property owners. Should you wish to request an investigation, you can contact the team here, we provide you with a full report and a copy of any images and video/sound recordings from the location.

The material presented on this site has been approved by each property owner, privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times, we will not publish any details of "Private" investigations unless the owner requests such.

Our aim is not only to secure proof of spirit activity but to delve deeper into the complex nature of such events, taking into account the historical significance of the location and the psychological aspects of human and spirit behaviour, using divination in order to provide the answers we are seeking.

This site focuses on the paranormal aspect of our research and contains a range of information we hope you will find useful and interesting, some of which include detailed equipment specifications, explanations of commonly encountered phenomena (both natural and paranormal), historical overviews, investigative reports, sensitive validations, media and images from some of the locations we have investigated.
